Berserk is a dark, horror fantasy manga created by Kentaro Miura. The protagonist is Guts, a skilled and incredibly strong swordsman who fights all manner of demonic and supernatural beings. His main foe, however, is Griffith, a former ally and founder of the Band of Hawks. This manga was also made into a (very good) anime series.
I've only seen the anime series but I always found the contrast between Guts and Griffith to be interesting. Guts is tall, muscular, and scarred. Griffith is smaller, pretty, and pristine. It makes perfect sense that there is yaoi out there of the two.
The manga is currently being released in the U.S. by Dark Horse while the anime is available from Media Blasters.

ReplyDeletei agree with anon above... you HAVE to read the manga it on spec nexus. it is my fave series. all others that i read are just to fill the time between releases. when i saw the anime my mouth was left wide open at the end. i started reading it that day lol. yeah, guts is way hot
