Skip Another Beat

Today's post features more of the guys from the long-running shoujo manga Skip Beat.  In the last Skip Beat post, I mentioned trying to find some anime artwork.  I've found that there really isn't much of it out there.  Despite that, I have included one anime pic.

Skip Beat

Skip Beat is a shoujo manga series by Yoshiki Nakamura about a girl named Kyoko Mogami.  She works hard to help her childhood friend Sho become a pop idol before finding out that he's really just using her as a maid and to earn living expenses.  Heartbroken and angry, Kyoko vows to get revenge on Sho by going into show business herself and becoming better than him.

I've never read the manga but I love the recently ended anime.  Kyoko is probably one of my favorite shoujo heroines.  However, this post only contains art from the manga.  I'll have to do some searching for some anime art (apart from screencaps) for a later post. 

The Skip Beat manga is available in America from Viz while the as-of-yet unlicensed anime can be viewed online at Crunchyroll.
