Three Dimensions (Part Three): Video Game Guys

Today's post is the third part of the Three Dimensions series, focusing on statues, toys, and dioramas.  This time around, the focus is on the guys of video games in non-virtual form.

This statue of Vega from Pop Culture Shock shows the Street Fighter hottie unmasked:

Kratos, our favorite God of War, gets his due courtesy of Sideshow Collectibles:

Pop Culture Shock is behind this upcoming statue of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat:

Finally, some guys from Resident Evil courtesy of Hot Toys beginning with Krauser...

MK vs. DC: When Comics And Games Collide Part Two

I always thought that those Capcom fighting games with the Marvel superheroes were really cool.  I was never good at them (I'm much better at the "button masher" fighting games) but it just seemed really neat to see Cyclops and Wolverine go at it or Ryu beating the crap out of Magneto.

Now, this generation will get some of the same feeling with the upcoming Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe game.  I don't own either an Xbox 360 or a PS3 yet but with this game coming, I might be tempted to plunk down some cash.

The official site for the game features the trailer as well as some high-resolution artwork which I have shrunk for posting on the site.  The picture of The Flash comes courtesy of the Dial H For Homo blog.
