inFAMOUS 2

inFAMOUS 2 is the sequel to the hit PS3 game inFAMOUS, which has previously been featured here. The game is set to come out sometime in 2011, but it has already garnered attention because of the character design.

The main character, Cole McGrath, was initially redesigned with a look that some felt was a ripoff of Uncharted's main character Nathan Drake. Although I liked Cole's look from the first game, I also liked the new look. It set him apart from the really hot (but really overused) gruff face/short haircut look found in many a game.

However, bowing to fan pressure, the creators of inFAMOUS 2 decided to change Cole's look again to closely resemble what he looked like in the original game.

Below, you'll find several screenshots and pics of Cole. I've also included one picture which supposedly represents Cole's most recent design. What do you think about Cole's various looks? Yay or nay?

Video Game Week Day Four: inFAMOUS

Video Game Week continues with inFAMOUS.  This is a game exclusively for the PS3 and it's often compared to the game that kicked off VG Week, Prototype.

Instead of a virus giving him powers like Alex Mercer, the protagonist of Prototype, protagonist Cole McGrath's powers come from an explosion.   Cole's powers are also electricity-based as opposed to shapeshifting.

 Both games are a bit similar in that are sandbox-style action games with superhuman protagonists.  Both games also have comic books, although the inFAMOUS one is available for download from the official site.

 
As for who's hotter Alex or Cole...they're about even to me.  Cole maybe gains a few points because we can actually see the top of his head.
