With the news that Jake Gyllenhaal will be starring in a movie version, here is some artwork from the recent Prince of Persia games, sepcifically the last two. Although the live-action movie will be inspired by the game (as opposed to based on it), I wonder if Jake will even compare to the hero of these games.
I'm taking a brief timeout from the guys to announce that the great Boytoons Magazine by Patrick Fillion has dedicated its latest issue to HFG! I'm both thrilled and honored that this blog has gotten spotlighted.
Please check out the link below to read his thoughts on HFG and feel free to leave any of your own!
Going through my archive of pics, I found this image of Wolverine by current JLA artist Ed Benes. Although he's criticized a bit now (and often rightly so), I like some of his earlier work. In fact, some more pre-JLA Benes art will be the subject of a future post.
With Memorial Day weekend coming up, what better than time than now to post stuff from the various Marvel Swimsuit Specials which feature your favorite heroes in something other than tight lycra. The pics I'm posting are my personal faves. I originally found these at Scans_Daily, so thanks to the fine person who posted them there.
Neo Angelique, like La Corda, is a game featuring a heroine surrounded by a variety of hot guys. The Angelique games have been around for quite a while and Neo Angelique is the most recent version.
Like the other Angelique games, this one has spawned an anime called Neo Angelique Abyss. It's being fansubbed at the moment and I have to say that it's become a guilty pleasure for me because I like the red-haired guy, Rayne.
Umm, anyway, check out some art from the anime below.
When it comes to guys from comics, I post an awful lot of stuff from DC. However, I used to be quite into Marvel (especially the Ultimate line) and I'm going to try and post more stuff from them. In the meantime, enjoy a few random pics of Spider-Man.
It's time for another video post and this time, the focus is on the new anime series Junjou Romantica currently airing in Japan.
This show is of note because it's based on a BL/yaoi manga. Despite the popularity of this kind of stuff in Japan, it's still a little bit rare to see actual TV anime made.
I've watched the first four episodes of the show so far and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. One thing I like about the show is that there are multiple couples. My favorite episode so far is episode 3, which doesn't feature the "main" couple at all.
The video I'm posting below is the opening theme to the show (which is pretty worksafe). If you're interested in seeing the show, it's currently being fansubbed by Aarinfantasy. More artwork from the show and/or manga may be featured in a later post. The artwork at the top of this post is courtesy of Saa-chan at cuppy-cake.net.
Although the art's a little bit of a letdown after the hotness that was Titans #1, there is some good stuff to be found in Titans #2. Nightwing (as always), Red Arrow, and the Flash come out looking the best here. I'm not sure what to think of Beast Boy, though. Here are two scans from the issue.
