I might be in the minority on this, but I think this guy is hot. He has an interesting look to him in part because the characters for this game were designed by Takehiko Inoue, the creator of the Slam Dunk manga series. He looks a little manlier in the face than your traditional Final Fantasy hero.

I'm disappointed that they chose a very unflattering pic of him for the boxart. I probably would've picked it up sooner otherwise. ^^
