DRAMAtical Murder

DRAMAtical Murder (abbreviated as DMMd) is a visual novel from Nitro+Chiral, the company behind Togainu no Chi, Lamento, and Sweet Pool.  Unlike their other games, this one takes place in the future and involves, among other things, a virtual world.

Another thing that sets it apart from Nitro+Chiral's other works is the slightly brighter color palette.  I especially like the abundance of blue in the design of the main character.

There may be some spoilers in the art below.

Dat Spider-Man: A Micropost

Today's post is a single scan from Avenging Spider-Man #5.  Leinil Francis Yu provides the art.  It has to be a coincidence that the final line from the preceding page is Peter saying "What's everyone looking at?"  Right?

Rurouni Kenshin

It's been four years since I last posted pics from the manga/anime series Rurouni Kenshin. Why I waited so long to revisit this, I'll never know.  Enjoy the rest of the pics below.

Luther Strode's Hidden Talent: A Micropost

The Strange Talent of Luther Strode is a miniseries by Justin Jordan and Tradd Moore about a teenager who becomes an assassin.  It's ultraviolent and a lot of fun to read.

The last issue came out recently and it contained a great pinup by Mike Rooth.  Check it out below:

Just One Kiss: A Micropost

Today's post is a single scan from Avengers: The Children's Crusade #9.  It features Wiccan and Hulkling, the popular couple from Young Avengers.  Pencils are by Jim Cheung.

Uta no Prince-sama

Uta no Prince-sama is an otome visual novel and anime series.  Similar to La Corda d'Oro, the show revolves around a girl going to a music school.  Unlike the school on that show, it's a training ground for wannabe idols and songwriters.  All the teachers are former idols and romantic relationships between male and female students are forbidden (cue the yaoi fans).

What makes Uta no Prince-sama stand out are the colorful character designs and the fact that (spoiler alert) the six guys become a boy band called Starish (with a star for the "a"). A second season of the anime has been announced.

Shirtless Shep: A Micropost

The highly anticipated video game Mass Effect 3 hits stores in less than a week.  If all the hype and the cinematic commercials don't make you interested in this game, then the pics below just might.

We finally get to see what Commander Shepard has been hiding underneath the uniforms and armor and it's well worth the wait.

Shep's very sexy black boxer briefs are apparently casual wear that will somehow be available in the game (Femshep gets a bra and panties for those that care).  I'm betting the romance scenes will be a lot hotter this time around.

Pics were found on Bioware's forums.

Guys of The New 52: Aquaman

The next entry in the Guys of The New 52 is Aquaman.  Even though he's a character that's been maligned over the years, I am enjoying his current series.  It probably helps, though, that Ivan Reis is the one doing the pencils.  Below, you'll find some pics from Aquaman #1, #2, and #4, along with a couple from Justice League #3 and #4 with pencils by Jim Lee.

New Thundercats

In 2011, Cartoon Network premiered a new version of Thundercats.  This reboot made a few notable changes.  Thundera became a kingdom on Third Earth instead of its own planet.  Lion-O and Tygra became (step)brothers with a competitive streak. It also adopted more of an anime look.  The original show was animated in Japan and so is the new show.

Whether or not you were a fan of the original, the new version is definitely worth watching.  Check out some more art and screencaps below.  Some pics come from the great Thundercats fan site Thundercats.ws
