Earl & Fairy

For all the anime with attractive guys that are pretty good, there are always ones that aren't so good.  Earl & Fairy is one of these shows.  Originally a series of novels by Mizue Tani (writer) and Asako Takaboshi (illustrator), Earl & Fairy takes place in Victorian-era England where Lydia Carlton is a "fairy doctor."  She is captured by (and then helps) a man named Edgar Ashenbert who wants to get a sword that is rightfully his.

I watched the first three episodes of this anime and did not like it at all.  The storytelling is poor and it feels deriative.  However, the guys are nice enough to look at (even if the main character is a dead ringer for Ouran High School Host Club's Tamaki).  Not every show is a winner, so we can just enjoy the anime and novel artwork.  If you are still interested in checking out this show, the entire series has been fansubbed.
