The Story of Saiunkoku

The Story of Saiunkoku (aka Saiunkoku Monogatari) is another anime (based on a series of novels) featuring a girl surrounded by a bunch of hot guys. Unlike the other shows like this I've featured on HFG, this one is more of a fantasy that takes place in a fictional, medieval China-esque world.

This means long hair, flowing robes, and guys who are more beautiful than anything else. Stuff like that sometimes really appeals to me.

The first season of the anime was licensed by Geneon Entertainment in the U.S. but only two volumes came out before Geneon went under. The second season of the show has been fansubbed and is not licensed for release in the U.S.

Titans #3

I'm starting to like the artwork for this series a bit more. I mean, Trigon's quite hot in the flashback that opens the issue. Also, the guys with four eyes that end the issue are attractive (as attractive as guys with four red eyes can get anyway). At the same time, there's the love scene between Nightwing and Starfire that looks more awkward than hot.

Reborn!: The Anime

After two posts with artwork from the manga, it's the anime's turn to shine. Although I like the manga artwork better, the anime art is nice too.

Nightwing/Huntress

Taking it back a bit, here are some scans from the Nightwing/Huntress miniseries, featuring pencils by Greg Land.

Army Of Two

I didn't know there was a hot guy in the EA game Army Of Two until I happened upon a post at guytvblog.

The character's name is Elliot Salem and I had some trouble finding artwork of him. So instead, I'm going to post some screenshots I took from the HD versions of the trailer and opening cinema I found at GameTrailers.com.

And don't mind the extra shot I put at the end...

Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club looks like one of those "reverse harem" anime shows I've featured on HFG before but it's different. It's actually a sly satire of those types of shows and of shoujo anime.

It revolves around a girl named Haruhi who is a student (on scholarship) at an exclusive private school. She stumbles upon the host club and ends up in their debt. To pay it back, she cross dresses as a guy and joins the club (she's the one with the short brown hair).

Every male character in this show represents the stereotypical guys of these harem shows. There's the charming beautiful one, the cold and calculating one with glasses, the one who looks like a little boy, the stoic and silent one, and the borderline incestuous twins.

This show will be coming to DVD sometime this year (hopefully) and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a great show that's funny even if you have little experience with this type of anime. And the guys are actually quite attractive.
