Hot Fictional...Guys?

It's April Fools Day and after not doing anything interesting last year, I figured I'd do something fun this time around.

Today's post deals with the anime/manga phenomenon known as the "trap."  A trap is a male character who looks just like a woman (and the reverse trap is a female character who looks just like a man).


The pictures below feature such "traps."  However, two of the pics have female characters in them.  If you're an anime/manga fan, this will probably be easy but if you're not, I encourage you to see if you can figure out which characters aren't male.

Both of the pics above have male characters.  The one on the left is Bridget from Guilty Gear and the one on the right is Cecil from FFIV

  

This is the first pic with a female character.  This screenshot comes from Gundam 00.  The character in the foreground is Kati Mannequin, the female character.  The guy in the background is Billy Katagiri.

  

The pic on the left has Momiji and Haru from Fruits Basket (both males).  The pic on the right is the second pic of a female character.  She is Integral Hellsing from Hellsing (and a badass character, frankly).

  

This pic above is from Gundam 00 and features Tieria and Ribbons, who are both male (more or less).

 

Finally, here are the three guys from Princess Princess actually dressed up as...princesses.

Misfits #4

This is the fourth installment of the Misfits series and the first one for 2009.  These posts feature pics that wouldn't warrant posts on their own.  This includes single pics from works or pics from properties that probably won't get another post.

First up, here are a couple of pics of the guys from Princess Princess:

This guy is from the anime Jigoku Shoujo (aka Hell Girl) and was illustrated by Atsuko Nakajima, the character designer of such anime as Get Backers, Trinity Blood, and Princess Princess.

Here's a summer-themed pic I completely forgot about when I did the last Special A post:

 

This cover to Adventure Comics #0 is a homage to an earlier comic book cover.  I think the pencils for this cover was done by Aaron Lopredi but I'm not sure.

I like the cover of the X-Men Origins: Sabretooth oneshot.  It's just too bad the comic itself wasn't all that great.  The pencils for this cover were done by Dan Panosian.

 

This piece of artwork by You Higuri is from a mobile phone game called 12 Tender Killers In A Mixed-Up World.  And get this...Hideo Kojima (of Metal Gear Solid fame) is one of the producers of this game!

Misfits #1

Within my archive of pics I post on HFG, there are some that are good but don't make it to the site.  Usually, they are either new/extra pics from something I've already posted about or pics from something that I don't have much art from.  When I try to figure out what to post next, I often pass over these pics.  Now, I've decided that it's time to give these "misfits" their due.

First up, is some more lovely artwork from Night Head Genesis.  I think this artwork is by You Higuri but I'm not entirely sure.  It's a shame there isn't that much artwork for this manga/anime out there.

These next pics are screenshots from a hentai game called Lime-iro Senkitan.  Sometimes, there are attractive guys where you least expect them.

The next pic is from the anime Gungrave and I think it's the only pic I have from that show.

When I searched for Kyle Rayner pics for All-Request Week, I found some good pics of other lanterns.  Here's one pic each of John Stewart and Alan Scott.

And now a random hottie from Battle Chasers:

These two guys are from the online version of the awesomely underrated game Shenmue.

 

Here's a piece of  particularly sultry artwork from the Princess Princess anime I'm surprised I didn't post.

Finally, here is a gorgeous piece of Castlevania artwork by manga artist Takeshi Obata, best known for providing the art for Hikaru no Go and Death Note.

Princess Princess

After a sorta sneak peek, here is the post featuring artwork from Princess Princess.

Don't let the name fool you. Princess Princess has almost no women in it. It's a manga/anime series about a group of guys who dress up as princesses at their elite all-boys school to boost morale. It may be pure fantasy but it's fun to watch and to look at.

Dirty, Dirty Thoughts

I was going to do a post featuring artwork from the manga and anime series Princess Princess when I came upon the piece above and decided to showcase it all by itself. Every time I look at it, I hope that it inspired some good fan fiction.

The piece was illustrated by the show's character designer Atsuko Nakajima. I'm liking her artwork more and more.
